city of suceava, Romania

Suceava, one of the oldest cities in Romania, is located in the north-east of the country. It has a population of over 100,000.

Apart from the historical monuments that ca be found and are worth visiting in Suceava, the city is a great starting point for tourists interested in the greater Moldovan tours, which include visits to the painted monasteries, part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Suceava is well connected through two European routes: E85 ( Suceava - Bucureşti, Suceava - Siret) and E576 (Suceava - Vatra Dornei) and national motorways DN29 (Suceava - Botoşani) and DN29A (Suceava - Dorohoi).

Suceava is served by Stefan cel Mare Airport.
