Sighisoara is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved Mediaeval towns in Europe.

Sighisoara is part of UNESCO's World Heritage List.

A Mediaeval Festival takes place in Sighisoara every year in July.

The Clock Tower in Sighisoara was built in 1556

Sighisoara is situated 40 km south-east of Targu Mures, the capital of Mures county in Transylvania and 300 km north-west of Romania's capital, Bucharest.The easiest way to reach Sighisoara is by train. There are regular trains from both Bucharest and Budapest. The closest airport is Targu Mures International Airport.
