Buzau is an important railway hub, connecting
Bucharest and Ploiesti to
Focsani and Constanta. By road,
Buzau can be reached on the national motorway DN2 (E85) from Bucharest. The city
doesn't have an airport. The closest airport is Bucharest's
Henri
Coanda International Airport.
The city's most important landmark is the Communal Palace, which now hosts
the City Hall.
